Job Description:

Exeter is recruiting an Office Leasing & Acquisitions Officer for the Southeast Region, to be based in Exeter’s Charlotte office. The successful candidate will lease office properties in his/her region through pro-active marketing campaigns targeting tenant rep brokers, corporate real estate executives and other local market participants. Relationship development should be viewed as a primary responsibility and one that includes both nurturing relationships and active new business calling. Through such relationships, s/he will source on- and off-market acquisitions and development opportunities in the mid-cap space on a one-off or small-package basis. Through these leasing and acquisitions activities, s/he is expected to significantly grow the business across his/her region. 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of commercial real estate experience with brokerage houses and/or private owner/operators. Experience to span various disciplines including leasing (landlord or tenant rep) and development/merchant build
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing new business and an established network of relationships
  • Extensive due diligence and transaction experience spanning acquisitions, redevelopments and build-to-suits
  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills
  • Outstanding leadership, relationship and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-guided work ethic – strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to be a “self-starter” and work independently

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; an MBA is highly desirable

Salary/Benefits:

Total compensation will be competitive with the market and will be based on the experience and capabilities of the candidate. Compensation comprises an annual salary, acquisition bonuses and commissions for new and renewal leases. Over time, carried interest in the Fund may be available for high-performing individuals.
